Our Hearts are Entwined with Dance.

This is the highlights video from my show and tour in 2011.
9 years on and with the passing of time I feel the words I spoke back then were prophetic.
The great Bond, and love of Irish Dance, the pure and untainted love for it all was in the hearts of all these young people.
They were like a family to each other then, and until the end.
The music I chose Vide Cor Meum in English translates to See My Heart.
This music has very special meaning for me as it brought me through one of the most difficult times of my life in 2010.
I did this to express my great joy, pride, love and yet sadness, in the knowledge that nothing stays the same and change was on its way.
2 years earlier in my 10th show Tapestry, one of my pupils Catherine Lamont wrote a beautiful poem entitled, Reflections of a Dancer and spoke it as part of the run up to the end of the show.
In her poem, Catherine spoke from her heart about the love and need to dance.
2 years later Athy wrote a piece of music called Entwined Hearts for me which I choreographed and was perfomed live in Italy as well as my Riverside show 12 in 2011.
So that is why I called the video. Our Hearts are Entwined with Dance.
