LoRaWAN 101 for Engineers
Learn about LoRaWAN connectivity and adding it to your industrial application: https://www.multitech.com/technology/...
LoRaWAN is a media access control (MAC) protocol for wide area networks. It provides an industrial IoT solution that facilitates communication between devices on a single network. These devices use open bandwidth to send information quickly and reliably between one another. LoRAWAN technology is designed to be low-powered, eliminating the need to frequently replace batteries with time-consuming maintenance.

LoRaWAN specifications for devices correspond with the following regional frequency bands:
USA: 902-928 MHz
EU: 863-870 MHz
Australia: 915-928 MHz
China: 779-787 MHz and 470-510 MHz
In practical terms, LoRaWAN technology is useful in cutting costs by maximizing efficiency. Many industries rely on these types of devices including agriculture, healthcare, energy, city planning, manufacturing and others. Instantaneous communication between sensors and gateways, along with powerful software take control of IoT applications
Many of the applications and opportunities related to LoRaWAN have not been fully realized, as the race towards automated productivity solutions is just beginning. We have a bit of a head start — MultiTech received the first First LoRaWAN Certification for North America in 2016, and we’ve been developing industrial IoT solutions for decades before that.
If you have an application that requires technical assistance, the MultiTech team can work with your business to identify the most strategic course of action for your LoRaWAN implementation.
If you’re interested in partnering with MultiTech to enhance your productivity, we’re excited to discuss the possibilities. Get in touch with our team to start a conversation! https://www.multitech.com/about-us/gl...
