In this video, I'm comparing the Prismacolor Premier Pencils to the Faber Castell Polychromos Colored Pencils.

I was asked by a number of people to make a comparison video of the Prismacolor Premier Pencils Vs the Polychromos pencils in the comments section of some of my other videos.

It took me quite a while to come up with a list of comparison tests that I could do to show the difference in these colored pencils. There are probably more comparisons that I could have done but couldn't think of and I'll probably be kicking myself afterwards when the video has uploaded lol.

So the ideas that I came up with were:

Sharpening: Which sharpeners work for me on the colored pencils.

Pressure: How much pressure is needed to get a flat solid colour on the paper. This can make a big difference for people with weak or painful hands and wrists.

Layers: How many layers of each pencil can I get down on the paper.

Blending with Blender Pencils: Which pencils perform better with blender pencils.

Blending with Solvent: Which pencils blend better with solvents.

Gradient Blending: Which pencils blend better when blending 2 different colours together in a gradient effect.

Whitest Whites, Blackest Blacks: Which has the whitest white and which has the blackest black pencil.

Transparent / Opaque: Which penicls are more transparent and which is more opaque:

Colour Ranges: Going through each colour range, which has the most or best range of colours.

Finally, I talk a little about other observations that I have made on differences between the two different brands.
