Malate Aspartate Shuttle

this video explains the transfer of cytoplasmic NADH+H into mitochondria in an indirect way using malate and aspartate transporters. Shuttling of H and H+ from cytoplasm into mitochondria using malate and aspartate transporters is referred as malate aspartate shuttle mechanism. Similar other mechanism is glycerol phosphate shuttle mechanism.
