Best to Worst of the Meteor 350
++++! IMPORTANT UPDATE !++++
I have possibly figured out what’s cause the power loss in my bike! It’s altitude!
I would not have considered altitude if it weren’t for HELPFUL comments, particularly from “harrothepilot” on another of my videos. I knew altitude effected combustion engines but I had no idea it would affect them at such low altitudes, this might explain why it affects some people and not others.
“Generally speaking, an engine loses three percent of its rated power for every 1,000 feet (304m) of altitude gained.” (Link Bellow)
The Blue Mountains Altitude (where I live and ride): 3359feet (1200m)
3359/1000feet=3.35*3=10% power loss.
100km/h-10%=90km/h (obviously a rough calculation but it does match my experience)
Add in weight, wind drag and a hill climb, you could easily see why I was loosing so much power crossing the ‘Great Dividing Range’. Now knowing this I should expect another 3 percent drop in power crossing the Snow Mountain Highway with its highest altitude being 4872 feet (1485m).
Another way to calculate HP Loss (Link Bellow):
HP Loss = (elevation in feet x 0.03 x horsepower at sea level)/1000

This is my best to worst list of features of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and why I wouldn't buy the bike again if I knew what I know now. Speed and gearing really let down this otherwise great bike.
I do love the bike, it’s now sentimental to me as my first road bike, but if this video was around when I was looking to buy a road bike, I would have bought something else with a couple more CC. For anyone else who wants to know if the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is worth (for your use case), I hope this answers your questions.
I have removed all mentions of this bike only having 5 gears because it was causing too much confusion among the offended Royal Enfield fanboys.
Lack of storage space and a tachometer are not problems to me but might be to others, thats why its mentioned.
