"Love's Sorrow"

Play in HD for best audio! This piece was inspired by a picture circulating on Facebook, but of course my improvisation was done on the fly and not very deep. 3:00 The year she turned 42, he was 24. She sometimes caught a glimpse of him, in the still of night.
3:40 The year she turned 57, he was 24. She knew he would never return.
4:10 The year she turned 69, he was 24. They were reunited.

It took me a long while and my friend had to explain it to me, but I finally realised that this was not a vampire story, but really about a love that was tragically lost at 24 when the boy died. You can guess what the rest means.
