A Heavy Metal Drummer's Guide to Baking Cookies! (with drumming!)
Drumming starts at 8:10! Please like and share this video!
A fun and goofy cooking parody type video, where I actually do bake some cookies!...and yes, play some drums. Hope you enjoy it!
Shortbread cookie baking instructions/details:
For each batch,
2 cups of flour
1 cup of corn starch
1 cup of icing sugar
1 brick of butter
Preheat oven to 300°F
Mix dry ingredients together and then add butter. Mix in butter until the batter gets to an almost gooey stage. If batter gets too warm and gooey, place in fridge for a few minutes before rolling. Roll out, cut and space evenly on cooking tray lined with parchment paper. Be sure NOT to use a wax type cooking paper!!
Place tray(s) on middle rack. I don't recommend stacking trays on different racks.
Bake for approx. 13 minutes. Depending on your oven, particularly if it's a convention, baking time may vary slightly. It usually takes me a batch or two in a new oven to figure out the right timing. You'll know if your oven is too hot if your cookies melt all over the tray before they firm up while baking. Bake until you can see a very slight hint of browning at the bottom edge of the cookies.
After you remove from the oven, let them cool down and/or slide them off the cooking tray onto a counter very carefully for cooling. They break very easily when first removed from the oven. Once they've cooled down, package and enjoy!!
Because there is no egg in this recipe, these cookies have a very long shelf life...and, you can eat the batter raw! They also do well in the freezer and taste great chilled!
