Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.

This error happens because your Windows installation USB was booted in UEFI mode, but your hard drive is formatted in the older MBR style. To fix this, you either need to convert your disk to GPT (recommended for modern systems) or change your BIOS settings.
Option 1: Convert to GPT (Recommended)
This method wipes all data on the target drive and configures it to work correctly with modern UEFI systems.
1. On the "Where do you want to install Windows?" screen, press Shift + F10 to open Command Prompt.
2. Type diskpart and press Enter.
3. Type list disk and press Enter to find your drive number (e.g., Disk 0).
4. Type select disk X (replace X with your disk number) and press Enter.
5. Type clean and press Enter.
6. Type convert gpt and press Enter.
7. Type exit and press Enter to close Command Prompt.
8. Return to the Windows installer screen, click Refresh, select the unallocated space, and continue.
Option 2: Change BIOS/UEFI Settings
If you do not want to wipe your hard drive, you can switch your motherboard's boot mode to Legacy/CSM.
1. Restart your computer and repeatedly press the key to enter your BIOS/UEFI settings (commonly F2, F10, F12, or Del, depending on your PC manufacturer).
2. Navigate to the Boot or Security tab.

ปัญหา Format หรือ New ไดรฟ์ไม่ได้ และติดปัญหาเรื่อง MBR หรือ GPT มักเกิดจากการขัดแย้งกันระหว่างรูปแบบพาร์ติชันเดิมและโหมดการบูท (Boot Mode) ของเครื่อง
คุณสามารถแก้ไขได้ทันทีโดยการแปลงดิสก์ให้ตรงกับโหมดของเครื่อง หรือการเปลี่ยน Boot Mode ใน BIOS ให้ตรงกับดิสก์ ดังนี้ครับ
วิธีที่ 1: ลบพาร์ติชันและแปลงเป็น GPT ด้วย Command Prompt (วิธีมาตรฐาน)

3. พิมพ์ list disk แล้วกด Enter (จดหมายเลข Disk ที่ต้องการแปลง เช่น Disk 0)
4. พิมพ์ select disk 0 (เปลี่ยนเลข 0 เป็นเลขดิสก์ของคุณ) แล้วกด Enter
5. พิมพ์ clean แล้วกด Enter (ระวังขั้นตอนนี้ ข้อมูลจะถูกลบทั้งหมด)
6. พิมพ์ convert gpt แล้วกด Enter

1. รีสตาร์ทเครื่องแล้วกดปุ่มเข้า BIOS รัวๆ (มักจะเป็นปุ่ม F2, F10, หรือ Delete)
2. ค้นหาเมนูที่ชื่อว่า Boot, Boot Mode, หรือ UEFI/BIOS Boot Mode
3. หากคุณต้องการลง Windows แบบ GPT ให้เลือกตั้งค่า Boot เป็น UEFI Mode (ปิด CSM/Legacy)
4. หากฮาร์ดดิสก์ของคุณเป็นแบบ MBR ให้ตั้งค่า Boot เป็น Legacy (หรือ CSM)
5. บันทึกการตั้งค่า (กด F10) แล้วลองติดตั้ง Windows ใหม่
