Photo Deconstruction: Lord of the Flies, Forest Beauty Portrait

In this video I deconstruct a beauty image where I simulated a fern forest in my studio to create an imp-like, lord of the flies beauty shoot. I utilized an Adobe Stock image of a forest printed on a large format printer — a Canon Pro 4000 — that would be the base and background of my shot. From there, I purchased some ferns that I could put behind, on and in front of my subject to create depth in the scene. I used 3 strobes; an overhead background/hair light, a main light and a fill light. Using a wide aperture, I kept the foreground and background slightly out of focus to make the scene more realistic.
