Do you feel lonely, even in a crowd? In this beautiful gay same-sex choreography and dance music video, the couple behind dance studio Unapologetic UK tells an inspiring story about loneliness and isolation for Pink Lady® UK and Digital Pride; The online pride movement by Gay Star News.
Loneliness happens to everyone. But when you find that friend, family member, or a loved one that can make it better, you’ll never feel quite so happy.
That is the theme of Gay Star News’ official dance video for Digital Pride 2019.
The beautiful moving video is released today (29 April) in time for Digital Pride week.
Digital Pride is the only global Pride and is dedicated to enabling everyone to be part of a Pride, whoever they are and wherever they live in the world.
This year, we are focusing on tackling loneliness and isolation. It takes place on Gay Star News from 29 April to 5 May 2019, culminating on #DigitalPride day on 3 May, 2019.
Pink Lady® UK commissioned dance company Unapologetic UK to create a dance for the special event. The song is Jessie Villa’s White Flag.
Kimberley Collins, who is bi, and Molly McGibbons, who is lesbian, are a same-sex couple who star in the video.
‘We were both very flattered and very overwhelmed that we had been asked,’ Collins said.

Michelle Evans, Head of Global Marketing for Pink Lady® commented on the UK partnership: “As proud advocates for inclusivity, diversity and equality, we are delighted to be celebrating our fifth year partnering with Gay Star News in support of Digital Pride. Our work with Gay Star News in the past has shown how popular dance content is with our consumers. It also ties in beautifully with this year’s theme, helping raise awareness of isolation and loneliness. We hope our Pink Lady® fans will join us in sharing this content and celebrating diversity both on and offline.”
As well as sponsoring Digital Pride, 10,000 Pink Lady® apples will also be sampled within Gay Star News bags, given out free at designated Pride parades and events, this summer. The apples will be stickered with the limited-edition rainbow Pink Lady® hearts.
