Solved! I now have a mains power adapter for this Casio CQ-1 Vintage Calculator.

Solved now. I obtained an original mains power supply for this, so AA battery drain is no longer an issue.

I can't find a replacement for the Casio Model AD-S1 powers supply. It's 1.5V 100mA but Centre Negative.

If I insert a new AA battery it's almost flat the next day, even though the unit it not powered on. The AA battery supplies the vacuum flourecent display, there are two 'watch' batteries that run the clock and calculator function.

I've put a multimeter accross the positive and negative battery terminals and there's no continuity when the unit is off, and I can't figure out why the AA battery is losing charge when the unit is off. Mains power seems like a good solution, if only I could find a compatible adapter.

Thanks.
