Convenience may be winning the privacy debate.

We took this question to consumers during a round of StreetPulse interviews. We expected most people to be firmly against companies tracking their searches and online behavior in exchange for more personalized recommendations, ads, and content..

Instead, many people landed somewhere in the middle. While some felt uncomfortable with how much data companies collect, others said the tradeoff was worth it.

It's a reminder that consumers don't always view privacy as a simple yes-or-no issue. For many, the real question is whether the value they're getting is worth the information they're giving up.
The cost of convenience isn't always measured in dollars.
