Rosie Marcel: Speranţă (Hope) - The Street Dogs of Romania

In December 2019 Yellow Spider Media and The Pack Project travelled to Brasov, Romania with celebrity ambassador Rosie Marcel (Holby City) to make a mini documentary about the living conditions for abandoned street dogs there. Together with partner rescue centre, Care For Dogs Romania, the charity is able to re home dogs to the UK and across Europe.

This film shows Rosie Marcel (Jac Naylor in Holby City) come to terms with how these dogs are treated, unless they are adopted.

It's estimated that there are over 600,000 dogs living on the streets in Romania, and without a neuter programme in place the numbers will only grow. Some are taken to public pounds where they are held for a number of weeks before being destroyed. It is only with the help of rescue centres like 'Care For Dogs Romania' that these dogs face a brighter future.
