Bobby Fischer's King's Indian Attack crushes future Philippine Champion

This is a chess game between 14-year-old Bobby Fischer and Rodolfo Tan Cardoso, played in New York in 1957. Cardoso, who would later become Philippine Chess Champion in 1958 and 1963, deploys his dark-squared bishop on a suboptimal square. This allows Fischer to continue energetically in the center and, in the process, force Cardoso to respond in an inconsistent fashion. A recurring theme in Fischer's play out of the King's Indian Attack in this game is a pawn attacking a minor piece.
