Abandoned Bikes in Rotterdam Netherlands...So Many Questions! Living in the Netherlands or better yet living in Rotterdam Netherlands you see A TON of bikes. BUT, when you start to see bikes with tags on them from the government, you start to ask yourself some questions. When we were living in the US this situation was not a problem, because bikes are brought in at night or they are stolen! Biking in the Netherlands is on a whole different level! Bikes here are used for pleasure, biking to work, picking your kids up from school or just picking your date to go out for the evening. We started to notice that some of the bikes here in the Netherlands had some red tags and some had blue tags. What do the tags mean and how is the government involved? So, if you're biking around the Netherlands, biking in Rotterdam or if you're brave enough to find yourself biking in Amsterdam and you see some bikes that have blue (or red) tags and want to know what that means, check this video out. Take it from someone that is retired living in the Netherlands, this is interesting stuff.
