Understand what you do well and what you have to offer other people. Once you understand that, identify platforms that play to your strengths and let you communicate that.

BUILD A WEBSITE FOR YOUR PERSONAL BRAND
Setup a website to be the hub of your personal brand. It doesn't have to be too fancy at first. Just something that helps you direct people to who you are and what you do and gives you a professional email address to use.

Once you know the platforms to capitalize on with your Personal Brand, start building your personal branding assets, come up with your bio, you profile pictures, your story in 60 seconds, and your content strategy. Be consistent and put out as much content as possible and ignore your numbers. Don't look at the bloody numbers, PERIOD. Not for the first year to 2 years...

HOW TO BUILD A PERSONAL BRAND ON YOUTUBE
First of all, you have to not think of yourself as a "YouTuber" or aspire to "make it on YouTube". That's not going to get you anywhere. Understand that YouTube is a platform, yes a platform with it's own deeply entrenched culture. Learn it, understand it, and then ignore the parts of it that don't fit with what you're trying to accomplish. Understand your goals and put out content that accomplishes your goals outside of views and subscribers.

Do not do YouTube for YouTube sake... understand how YouTube grows your brand as a whole, do not worry about growing on YouTube itself at the expense of your brand.
