HBCUs Seeing More Support and Interest By Black Americans
Charles Blow opens up “Prime” talking to Brittney Cooper, professor of women’s studies at Rutgers University, and the founder of the National Voter Protection Action Fund, Don Calloway, about Black America growing to appreciate Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
“This is actually a result of the movement for Black lives,” Cooper says. “This is a result of the political impetus that the movement for Black lives put out in the country since 2014.”
Cooper says that credit needs to be given to younger people for protesting, which has increased people’s interests in HBCUs.
All this and more on “Prime.”
