TFC2 | Rob McNee vs Cameron Chamberlin
The 61.7kg amateur bout between Rob McNee and Cameron Chamberlin! #TFC2
Entering the ring are two well matched amateur fighters. Rob McNee’s last fight ended in a draw and his opponent Cameron Chamberlain is coming from a jujitsu background which should make for an interesting fight.
Despite matching in category Rob McNee is of considerable height in comparison to his opponent Cameron Chamberlain who shows no fear as he locks eyes with his competitor.
The bell rings and both fighters touch gloves signalling the start of the fight. McNee takes the lead and begins his attack. He starts by closing the distance between him and Chamberlain all the while throwing relentless punches.
His aggressive technique has Chamberlain pinned to the cage with McNee rapidly striking Chamberlain in the chest and face. These blows are taking their toll on Chamberlain who makes the fatal mistake of doubling over. This act gives McNee the chance to issue big knee kicks into Chamberlain who is faltering.
Continuing the strong attacks McNee puts Chamberlain in a tight clinch persistently striking him. In a surprising turn around, Chamberlain flips McNee who lands on the floor. McNee is now at risk of Chamberlain getting the upper hand.
Using his skill McNee wraps his legs around Chamberlains neck. Although McNee has him in a tight hold, Chamberlain isn’t giving up as he repeatedly strikes his opponent in the face.
Chamberlain makes an attempt to free himself from McNee’s hold and position himself to take the win however this gives McNee the chance to adjust his grip. The small position change allowed McNee to get a tighter grip around Chamberlains neck and ultimately causing him to lose consciousness.
McNee took the win in an unbelievable finish in the first round in just one minute and 39 seconds. Winning via technical submission with a triangle choke, McNee secured his first win at amateur level.
