VW Crafter Severely Blocked DPF Cleaning Fixing 227 Millibars of Back-pressure

Welcome back to Dodgy Garage! In today’s mobile diagnostic, Robby tackles a severely blocked DPF on a VW Crafter—a van he knows well since he drives one himself!

This particular Crafter has been driven for a staggering 3,871 kilometers with the warning lights on, meaning the DPF is completely choked up. We plug in the diagnostics and uncover some unbelievable numbers. The differential pressure sensor is reading a massive 227 millibars at idle (when it should be between 0 and 10!). The backpressure is actually so intense that it maxes out our manometer and throws an error!
