Economics of Soil Health Management Systems on Eight Cotton Farms in the Texas Southern Great Plains
This U.S. Regenerative Cotton Fund (USRCF) webinar was held on Thursday, November 16th, 2023 and covered the Economics of Soil Health Management Systems on Eight Cotton Farms in the Texas Southern Great Plains. Dr. Dianna Bagnall, SHI Research Soil Scientist, highlighted the findings from SHI’s partial budget analysis that was conducted to equip Texas cotton farmers with the economic information they need when deciding whether to adopt soil health management systems that include practices such as no-till, reduced tillage, and cover crops. After Dr. Bagnall’s presentation, Misty Miles, SHI Project Manager, moderated a Question-and-Answer session with Dr. Bagnall; Dr. Archie Flanders, SHI Agricultural Economist; and Jessica Kelton, SHI Soil Health Educator.
