Rescue At Sea

We discuss a dramatic rescue at sea where the Carnival Mardi Gras spotted a disabled boat with nine people on board flying an emergency flag off Sebastian Inlet. The cruise ship's trained rescue team successfully brought all nine people aboard and sailed them to Nassau. We talk about how cruise ships are designed and legally obligated under maritime law to rescue distressed seafarers, making them often the first responders at sea.
