God of War 2018 100% Walkthrough Part 57 PC Ultra 1440p

God of War is an action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). It was released worldwide on April 20, 2018, for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) with a Microsoft Windows (PC) version released on January 14, 2022. The game is the eighth installment in the God of War series, the eighth chronologically, and the sequel to 2010's God of War III.

Now God of War has released for the PC I can share one of my favorite games, and one that I consider to be one of the best of all time.
When God of War was originally announced I was blown away by the visuals and was seriously impressed that it ran as well as it did when I first played it on PS4. But the PC port is fantastic and lets you experience the best version of the game letting you turn everything up to 11 while maintaining a constant 60 FPS (or higher if you want/can) which makes the gameplay even better.

In terms of gameplay 2018's God of War always felt like a natural evolution of the formula the series is known for, but feels a lot more deliberate and less button mashy than the previous titles. The slightly slower combat reminds me a little bit of Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne (both of which I am massive fans of) and makes me feel like it allows you to take full advantage of all the moves and abilities you unlock throughout the game. Combat also has a real weight to it that makes is feel very satisfying to fight enemies throughout Midgard.

I also have to mention the story, as even as good as the gameplay is the story is absolutely perfect. I have always felt that Kratos is a deep character but his moments of depth were never given time to impact the player. But due to the slower nature of this game and the brilliant performances by Christopher Judge and Sunny Suljic (and other cast members) every ounce of emotion is put on display; and ultimately results in an incredibly personal story that delivers a lot of development of all its characters and offers something different for everybody to relate to.

The soundtrack also pairs brilliantly with the story, and although a little disappointed the original theme never played I think the soundtrack helps carry the themes of the story very well.

My only complaint I have ever had with the game through multiple playthroughs is that it can feel a little slow at the beginning to unlock new abilities that help keep the combat varied. But other than that I feel this game offers something for everyone regardless if you are a fan of the series or not.

I will be trying to complete the game as fully as possible and be collecting/completing everything I can remember from earning platinum (100% completion) on the PS4.
