Roxette lead singer Marie Fredriksson dies aged 61

Marie Fredriksson - the lead singer of the band Roxette - has died after a long battle with cancer.

The mother of two was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2002.

The 61-year-old Swedish star formed the chart-topping band in 1986.

Roxette were best known for hits including "Joyride", "The Look" and power ballad "It Must Have Been Love" – which featured in the soundtrack for Pretty Woman.
