L'amour de moy (Anonymous, Richafort)

15th-century French song (Anonymous) and three-part setting by Jean Richafort (c. 1480 - c. 1547).

This is one of my favorite musical discoveries from this year! Thanks to my friends and colleagues Ryan Tani and Amelia Tobiason for joining me this week. I love singing with you.

L'amour de moy s'y est enclose
Dedans un petit jardinet
Où croit la rose et le muguet
Et aussi fait la passerose.

My love is enclosed there
In a little garden
Where grow the rose and lily of the valley
And also the hollyhock.
