How to unboxing LG front load Fully Automatic Washing machine step by step

*How to unbox an LG front load fully automatic washing machine - step by step | UK*

Unboxing right avoids damage and saves you a call to LG support. Do this before you plug anything in.

1. *Check delivery and placement*
- Make sure you’ve got 60cm width, 60cm depth, and 85cm height minimum. Leave 5cm at the back for hoses.
- Check the box for dents or water damage before signing for it. If it’s damaged, note it on the delivery note.
- Get help - the machine is 60-70kg. Don’t lift it alone.

2. *Cut open the box*
- Cut the tape on top only. Don’t use a knife down the sides - you’ll scratch the machine.
- Lift the box up and off. Remove the top foam and plastic bag.

3. *Remove transit bolts*
This is the most important step. LG fits 4 big bolts on the back to stop the drum moving in transit.
- Locate the 4 bolts with plastic spacers on the back panel.
- Use the spanner in the accessory bag to remove all 4 bolts and spacers.
- Cover the holes with the plastic caps from the bag.
*Don’t run the machine with bolts still in* - it’ll shake itself to bits and void the warranty.

4. *Take out accessories*
In the drum or accessory bag you’ll find:
- Cold water inlet hose
- Drain hose clip
- Spanner for feet and bolts
- Caps for transit bolt holes
- Manual and warranty card

5. *Level the machine*
- Roll it into position. Keep 5cm gap at the back.
- Use a spirit level on top. Adjust the front feet by hand until it’s level and doesn’t rock.
- Lock the feet with the nut once level. An unlevel machine causes UE errors and noise.

6. *Connect hoses*
- Screw the cold water inlet hose to the cold tap and the blue inlet on the back. LG front loaders in the UK use cold fill only.
- Push the drain hose into your standpipe or under-sink connection. Use the U-bend clip so it doesn’t slip out.
- Don’t overtighten. Hand tight + quarter turn is enough.

7. *First power-up and drum clean*
- Plug in, turn on the tap.
- Run a *Tub Clean* or *Cotton 60°C* cycle empty. This clears factory dust and tests for leaks.
- Check under and behind for leaks while it runs.

8. *Final checks*
- Keep the transit bolts and spanner. You’ll need them if you ever move house.
- Register the machine on LG UK website for warranty.
- Leave the door and drawer open for an hour after use to prevent mould.
