Murphy Pipe & Civil (MPC) is a leading Australian construction company that provides innovative pipeline solutions to the energy, water and mining sectors.

Data#3 was engaged to consolidate existing infrastructure and deployed a Cisco collaboration platform. This gave MPC access to a single organisation-wide collaboration architecture that included technology such as Jabber, WebEX and video conferencing units.

With 75% of their entire staff working remotely or between sites, having a solid and efficient communications program is crucial.

Relying heavily on mobile phones, MPC also needed to address challenges like background noise on calls, difficulty connecting to some devices, keeping devices charged among other things.

Plantronics provided noise cancelling headsets that ensure background noise is not transmitted, active noise cancelling minimizes distractions and portable charging cases keep devices powered up. With the use of Plantronics Manager Pro, Murphy Pipe & Civil were able to manage their entire fleet of headsets as well as roll out firmware updates seamlessly.
