Russian IJ70-18AH - Izhmash's HI-Cap Makarov PMM Pistol

Today, we put some rounds through and discuss the history of a handgun I've owned for many years. This is the Russian IJ70-18AH, chambered for the military 9x18mm cartridge. It was manufactured by Izhmash, sold under the IMEZ brand, exported by Baikal, and imported into the USA by KBI.
It is a double stack (Hi-Capacity) pistol, holding 12 rounds. It is based on the PMM, which was an updated/modernized Makarov tried out by the Russian military in the early 1990s. The IJ70-18AH was itself only imported into the USA for a couple years in the mid '90s.
