Necropsy on 17-foot python caught in the Everglades reveals 95 eggs inside

A live necropsy and egg count on a 17-foot female python, performed on April 13th, 2017 in Naples, Fla. Biologist Ian Bartozsek performed the necropsy on an adult female python recently captured in the Everglades. Inside the snake they found 95 developing Burmese python eggs. Wildlife biologists, with the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, have removed over a dozen of the invasive Burmese pythons in Southwest Florida, including 3,000 python eggs.
