Lincoln Never Left the White House | Witnessed by Churchill, Eisenhower & 6 Presidents
Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 14th, 1865. He has been seen in the White House every decade since.
Not by tourists. Not by teenagers. By presidents, prime ministers, queens, and first ladies — all of whom left documented accounts of what they witnessed.
Winston Churchill found him standing at the fireplace after his evening bath during World War II. President Eisenhower told his press secretary on national television that Lincoln had walked toward him in a White House hallway. Eleanor Roosevelt felt his presence every night. The Roosevelts' dog refused to enter the Lincoln Bedroom. The Reagans' dog refused to enter the Lincoln Bedroom.
In the 1980s, a White House staff member found him sitting quietly in a chair before dawn.
He has been seen during every major American crisis since 1865.
This is not folklore. These accounts are documented in presidential memoirs, press statements, and historical archives.
📍 Location: The White House, Washington D.C.
📅 First Sighting: 1865 — Present Day
📖 Source: Presidential memoirs, historical archives, press statements
