Tripreport - FINNAIR Business Class Short-haul Airbus A320 Flight - Helsinki to Copenhagen Airport

Airline Trip Report. Our Finnair Business Class flight from Helsinki to Copenhagen was a good experience. Watch the Finnair flight trip report to get an idea of what the Finnair Business Class Experience has to offer on a short haul flight. In this video we have tried to include all aspects of the Business Class experience from the arrival at the airport at Helsinki Vantaa Airport (Helsinki Airport) to disembarkation and baggage pickup at Copenhagen Airport.

Our Finnair Business Class Flight Trip Report begins with our arrival at Helsinki Airport where we are busy checking in at Finnair´s Terminal 2 area at the airport. As we are flying Business Class we are using the Priority Check in desks which means that we are able to skip using the very busy Economy Class Check in desks. After checking in we are also provided with a Priority Security Control area which is only available to Business Class and Priority passengers. The security control is very quick and efficient and once again we get to avoid the very busy Economy Class security check area. After we have passed our security control we take a little walk around the departures hall showing the various shops and restaurants offering their services to all passengers at Helsinki Airport (HEL).

Once we finish our walk we make our way towards the Finnair Business Class Lounge where we spend the next few hour relaxing and enjoying complimentary beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and a rather limited selection of food and snacks. We then board the aircraft first (Business Class and Priority passengers first) and make our way into the Finnair Business Class part of the aircraft cabin. Business Class on this Finnair Airbus A320 consists of 4 rows of 3 seats where one of the 3 seats is empty. We sit on the first row where we have more than enough legroom. We then begin our pushback, takeoff after which we show the aircraft safety card, the inflight Finnair Magazine Blue Wings and the Finnair Inflight Menu (foods for sale mainly for Economy passengers). As we are flying Business Class a warm meal and unlimited drinks are available on the flight. We present the meal which is a trout on a bed of cabbage and a chocolate dessert which we enjoy with a bottle of Champagne. This Finnair Business Class Trip Report ends with us landing at Copenhagen Airport, disembarking our Finnair Airbus A320 Aircraft, us walking through Copenhagen Airport until we finally collect our luggage.

We enjoyed our Finnair Business Class lounge experience very much, but do feel that a wider selection of foods and snacks should be looked into at the Helsinki Finnair Business Class Lounge. The Finnair Business Class experience was good and the Business Class crew were professional, friendly and helpful. The meal was delicious although we do wonder how the stomach reacts at 10000 meters on a longer flight to the Chili con carne served in the Business Class Lounge (at Helsinki Airport) and the cabbage served on the flight (perhaps not the smartest combination or...?).
The Verdict: We would fly on one of Finnair´s Short-haul Business Class flights again but they will have to look into providing a better food and snack selection at their beautiful Helsinki Airport Lounge!
