VR Hardware: Oculus Touch Thoughts and Review after Week of Testing/Owning
Cheers Guys!
I have owned the Touch controllers for roughly 10 days now and put them through a lot of varied gameplay and testing. Here are my thoughts regarding them so far.
I break the video up into 3 different categories: Ergonomics, Proprietary Tech and Tracking.
Anyone else have both Rift and Vive controllers? If so, how do you compare them? Let me know in the comments below.
TESTED THE FOLLOWING:
- 2 Camera Front Position no extension -180/360 degree
- 2 Camera Diagonal no extension - 360 degree
- 2 Camera 1 in Front, 1 Behind with USB 3.0 extension - 360 degree
- 2 Cameras Diagonally opposed - 360 degree
Games tested for Touch vs Vive:
- Arizona Sunshine
- Space Pirate Trainer
Other Games/Experiences Tested:
- The Lab
- Tilt Brush
- Google Earth VR
- Onward
- Audio Shield
- Raw Data
- Vanishing Realms
Computers Tested on:
Main Rig:
- Core i5 Skylake 6600K 4.2ghz
- 16GB Ram
- 1TB SSD for Gaming/VR
- EVGA 1080 FE
2nd Rig (Guest Gaming Rig):
- Core i5 Skylake 6600 3.3ghz
- AMD R9 290
- 8GB Ram
- 2TB HDD
