Super AMOLED, IPS, and Dynamic AMOLED 2x (HDR10+) compared (poorly) side by side.
Before you type you must first read.
I am an MDM engineer, not a youtuber. This was filmed edited, and rendered on my S20. There are limitations to the product on quality because of this.
From the first sequence looking from left to right models are as follows:
1. Galaxy S20 5G G981U
2. Galaxy A51 5G A516V
3. The phone I'm testing.
My S20 camera did not pick up on as many of the differences between the IPS display on the end and the other two phones.
I am a mobility engineer. One of my responsibilities is to test new dvices, and determine if they wil be put on our Approved Device List. I noticed a major deficit in the screen quality on my test device. I'm used to the normal (still major) differences in color accuracy and lighting when using a phone with an IPS or TFT display in comparison to the AMOLED screens on my daily drive devices. That being said, this particular panel was so bad I felt it was worth investigating further.
In the end all I did was reaffirm my existing thoughts on the matter. IPS and TFT are good alternative options. Once you get used to AMOLED, it's tough going back.

Cheers!
