Sorghum

Warren Wilson College Students created this documentary as participants in a two-class pairing: Documentary Technique Lab with Librarian Heather Stewart Harvey and Filming Appalachia by professor Jeff Keith. In the latter students viewed a multitude of Appalachian documentaries and discussed issues of representation and ethics. In the Technique Lab students learned to use professional grade cameras and microphones on manual settings, while also learning advanced editing techniques.
