Der "Eiserene Vorhang" war bei weitem nicht so dicht wie wir es uns in der BRD einredeten.
Wir Westdeutsche sahen den Ostblock zumeist nur aus der Sicht zur DDR.
Polen war bei weitem nicht so verschlossen und die Menschen dort hatten in gewisser Hinsicht auch eine Reisefreiheit. Einige mehr andere weniger.
Deshalb mal hier so meine Erlebnisse in den 70er und 80er Jahren.
Für mich war es eine interessante Zeit mit vielen Möglichkeiten.
Auch gab es dort andere Möglichkeiten Geschäfte zu tätigen, wenn man ein paar gute Ideen und gleichgesinnte Freunde hatte, um diese dann auch umzusetzten.
Das fing schon bei der Sprache an. Alle jungen Leute hatten als Pflichtfach russisch in der Schule.
Deutsch sprachen zumeist nur die Alten aus der Kriegszeit.
Englisch nur Studierende.

The "Iron Curtain" was nowhere near as tight as we told ourselves in the FRG.
We West Germans mostly only saw the Eastern Bloc from the perspective of the GDR.
Poland was nowhere near as closed and the people there also had the freedom to travel to a certain extent. Some more others less.
So here are my experiences in the 70s and 80s.
For me it was an interesting time with many possibilities.
There were also other opportunities to do business there, if you had a few good ideas and like-minded friends to implement them.
It started with the language. All young people had Russian as a compulsory subject in school.
German was mostly only spoken by the old people from the war period.
English students only.

„Żelazna kurtyna” nie była tak ciasna, jak mówiliśmy sobie w RFN.
My, Niemcy Zachodnie, widzieliśmy Bloku Wschodniego głównie z perspektywy NRD.
Polska nie była tak zamknięta, a ludzie tam również mieli do pewnego stopnia swobodę podróżowania. Niektórzy więcej, inni mniej.
Oto moje doświadczenia z lat 70-tych i 80-tych.
Dla mnie był to ciekawy czas z wieloma możliwościami.
Były tam również inne możliwości robienia interesów, jeśli miałeś kilka dobrych pomysłów i podobnie myślących przyjaciół, aby je wdrożyć.
Zaczęło się od języka. Wszyscy młodzi ludzie mieli w szkole język rosyjski jako przedmiot obowiązkowy.
Niemiecki był używany głównie przez starców z okresu wojny.
Tylko dla studentów języka angielskiego.
