Burke & Hare: Body Snatchers Turned Murderers

In Edinburgh in the early 19th century, it wasn't uncommon for what were known as "resurrection men" to dig up bodies and sell them to doctors for them to dissect. After selling the body of a man who died in Hare's lodging house to reclaim rent money he was owed, he and Burke decided to start murdering people to make a profit from selling their bodies.
