Finding Healing From Sexual Assault Part 1 - Leila Sommerfeld and Kathleen Terrill

Leila Sommerfeld and Kathleen Terrill are both survivors of rape. They are very vulnerable in describing what happened, and the years of fear, depression, and devastation that they experienced afterwards. Leila was raped more than 50 years ago and remembers the horrifying encounter vividly. She took more than 30 years to feel safe again. Kathleen was so depressed that she tried to take her life by crashing her car into a light pole — but God intervened. Both women felt God wooing their hearts, and eventually He drew them back into a relationship of healing & reconciliation. Today Leila teaches a seminar for women in recovery from sexual assault. And Kathleen is the director of operations for “Embrace Grace,” a ministry that helps young women facing an unplanned pregnancy.
