LIVE: Galveston Co. judge gives latest updates as Category 4 Hurricane Laura nears landfall
In this 10 a.m. update, the National Hurricane Center said Laura is continuing to rapidly strengthen and is expected to become an extremely dangerous Category 4. The NHC is calling for a 15-20 feet surge in Louisiana, which it describes as an "unsurvivable storm surge."
