Kevin Barry

Tribute to Kevin Barry (20th January 1902 - 1st November 1920). Irish Republican captured by British Crown Forces after an IRA ambush on Church Street, Dublin during the Irish War of Independence. Barry showed undaunting courage under intense torture to never give up the names of his friends and comrades. He was hung on 1st November 1920 in Mountjoy Gaol, Dublin. He was 18 years old.
