Day 2 of the OG is where personalities start to show.

After a cold night in Mackenzie and early alarms for the longest day, riders stepped out into icy air and quiet anticipation. Then the sun cracked over the hills, spilling gold across the valley and bringing a surge of warmth, excitement and belief for what lay ahead.

The drop into the Umkomaas Valley is exactly what the trail is named: WOW. Fast. Flowing. Open views that almost distract you from the racing. And did we mention, wow. The Umko Drop is singletrack at its finest, hugging cliffs and diving toward the river below.

And then the tone shifts.

Because waiting on the other side is Unitrans Iconic Climb. Three kilometres of up. No drama. No shortcuts. Just a steady, honest grind that tests more than just your legs.

It tests your life choices.

Stage 2 reshaped the General Classification and tightened the race heading into the final day.
