"Top Gun: Maverick" (2022) is a high-octane action drama directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuarri. The film is a long-awaited sequel to the 1986 classic "Top Gun" and stars Tom Cruise reprising his iconic role as Pete "Maverick" Mitchell.

The story follows Maverick as he confronts his past while training a group of younger Top Gun graduates, including Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw , the son of Maverick's deceased best friend, LTJG Nick "Goose" Bradshaw .
