Beach Walks After New Zealand Lockdown | Piha Surf Beach, Auckland

We're feeling blessed that New Zealand has not only done so well with the Coronavirus response but also how beautiful our little country is! We're based in Auckland so decided it was time for a day trip from Auckland to the beach... Piha beach is a must visit for a coastal walk known as the Tasman Lookout.

Piha surf is infamous and the Piha beach is known as being unpredictable, unsafe at times and pretty notorious — Piha Rescue is a TV series filmed here highlighting the dangers of swimming at the beach. We're not out here for the beach itself though, we missions out to the Waitakere Ranges for a bit of a hike, or more of a walk really.

Getting lost wasn't part of the plan of course, but it definitely made for a more challenging walk (50 minutes is pretty easy, even for us) and for even better views! Hopefully you enjoy our misfortune haha.
