All the Songs from the 2010 MuchMusic Countdown

This is a rundown of every hit song present on the MuchMusic Countdown in 2010. Let's bring some Canadiana to nostalgia playlists! These have been my pet projects for a while because I'm a bit obsessed with old-school MuchMusic/can-con in general.

We've arrived in the 2010s! The start of this decade was off to quite an upbeat start and feels more like the late 2000s. The club and partying were the main themes of pop music. EDM was on the rise. Canada was suddenly home to two of the world's hottest stars in Justin Bieber and Drake. Hip hop, rock and country kind of all soften into Top 40-friendly versions of themselves. Much runs the show "Disband", launching a bunch of acts, most significantly Stereos and San Sebastian. We host the Vancouver Olympics and Canadian pride is at an all-time high; two different versions of K'naan's Wavin' Flag hit the charts. The Internet wasn’t quite yet dictating what's most popular. Looking back it was a pretty optimistic, nostalgic time.
