The Tragic Life of Caroline Matilda of Great Britain, Queen of Denmark and Norway

Princess Caroline Matilda of Great Britain and Ireland became Queen of Denmark when she was married to King Christian VII of Denmark. Her brother, George III, was keen for her to get married to the Danish king in the hope that it would strengthen the alliance between England and Denmark. However, getting married to a king and becoming queen was not what Matilda imagined. Today we will follow her story.
