Episode Summary: Nikko Hamilton and her little brother Mikey have survived together for six years after the outbreak. They try to stay in the woods to avoid places that would’ve been crowded prior to the infection. While they’re walking through the woods, Mikey goes on a quick bathroom break and finds a river. While is basking in his own victory, a zombie comes and attacks him. Luckily, his big sister Nikko is there to save the day. They end up sleeping near the river and in the middle of the night Nikko gets up and beings to reminisce about her parents. All of sudden, a mysterious boy seemingly around Nikko’s age, River, appears. Apparently he’s been looking for her. Eventually, River is able to trick Nikko and gives her a sedative that puts her to bed. When Mikey wakes up in the morning he realizes that Nikko has been gone for too long and she’s probably in danger. He decides that he’s going to set out and look for Nikko; even though he doesn’t know where he’s going. At the end of the episode, an unknown woman is seen speaking with her boss about Nikko’s capture.
