MIKKO SUVANTO is an independent consultant in the field of miniature microphones. His background is at Nokia, where between 2001 and 2011 he conducted the successful use of more than 3 billion microphones in more than 100 different Nokia mobile phone models. This involved innovating and specifying the microphones, choosing the suppliers, and overseeing the development and high quality manufacturing of the components. From 2011 to 2016 Mikko was the microphone product innovator at Akustica, a subsidiary of Bosch, in Pittsburgh, PA, forging the long term direction of the company towards high performance MEMS microphones with the right features to serve the needs of multi-purpose devices, such as smartphones, and high-performance speech user interfaces. Currently, Mikko runs his own company, Mosomic, in the Tampere region in Finland. He holds 17 US patents owned by Nokia and Bosch, including the key technologies that enabled the renowned ‘Nokia Rich Recording’ microphone technology.
MOSOMIC is a consulting company, specialized in miniature microphones, helping both device makers (microphone buyers) and microphone manufacturers in their quest to achieve the best possible sound capturing capabilities in tomorrow’s devices.
