Range Rover Sport P440e: Meet the ultimate SUV
NEW 2023 Range Rover Sport P440e Review
The third-generation Range Rover Sport is possibly the best SUV you can buy.
The Range Rover Sport has long been the SUV to buy if you want a near-perfect blend of luxury, performance, space and sportiness. The latest 2023 model (launched in late-2022), aims to continue that tradition, while also offering more in the way of electrification than any of its predecessors.
To that end, two plug-in hybrid versions of the Range Rover Sport are offered, each with an official electric range of 70 miles (think more like 60 miles in real world driving) thanks to a 38kWh battery. For many people that'll mean it's possible to drive the Range Rover Sport as a pure EV for much of
the time – and once you're out of charge there's a silky smooth 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine to fall back on. Recharging the battery takes around 5 hours from a 7kW home wallbox.
In this CarGurus UK review, Vicky Parrott tests the P440e version of the Range Rover Sport in SE specification, which puts out 434bhp. As well as marvelling at its performance on the road, Vicky takes a close look at the car's interior to see how it stacks up for practicality, quality and technology.
The Range Rover Sport lineup is priced from around £80,000 for a straight-six petrol or diesel model, with the plug-in hybrids starting from around £85,000. Opt for a top-spec V8 and prices will be comfortably into six figures.
