Wrightsoft(Part 13): Manual J Heat Load Calculation - Condominum - Manual S and Design CFM

This video is a preparation for ductwork, therefore, we first need to make sure our equipment is sized based on ACCA standards so it complies with Manual S. It is recommended that after you select the system, download the cutsheets which are the specifications of your indoor and outdoor units. In our case we have the following information:

Manufacturer: Amana
Indoor: Air Handler AHVE24BP1400
Outdoor: Heat Pump ASZS602410
Supplemental Heat: HKSC08XC

After you have this info, you need to see your design conditions since the actual capacity of the system depends on outdoor/indoor conditions. In our case we don't have the performance data in the wrightsoft database. Therefore, we obtain the actual capacity based on AHRI conditions 95DB/80DB/67WB. 95F Outdoor temperature, 80F indoor temperature and 67 indoor WB.
