When William Flaherty was just three years old, he had a bone marrow transplant to save his life from a rare form of cancer. The donor that saved his life was his brother, Charles. Charles went on to be the first Winter Olympian to represent Puerto Rico in two decades and competed in PyeongChang 2018. Now aged 17, William is preparing to take over for his brother in representing his country at the next Winter Olympic Games.
