MOSHÉ ELIMELECH : CHROMATIC VARIATIONS

Born in Morocco and educated in Israel, Elimelech grew up with a profound appreciation and understanding of craft because his father was a master craftsman. Educated at the Polytechnic Institute of Design, both in Tel Aviv, he later went to Paris and served as assistant to internationally known artist Yaakov Agam. In 1971 he emigrated to the United States and launched a career as a respected and highly sought after graphic designer. In 1984 he was selected one of the artists to create work for the Olympics in Los Angeles. Since then his artwork has been shown at the Palm Springs Desert Museum, the Las Vegas Art Museum, the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, Gallery C (Hermosa Beach), and the Korean Cultural Center (Los Angeles).
