Activist Ralph Nader reflects on why he does the kind of work he does, 20 years after a 1965 US senate subcommittee hearing ruled that the big three auto manufacturers had harassed and sought to silence Nader because of the claims in his landmark book, “Unsafe at Any Speed.” the fifth estate’s Hana Gartner tracks Nader’s career from his beginnings as a New York City lawyer to a major Washington D.C. lobbyist.
